I actually remember subconsciously being very frustrated with this when I first tried to use the search functionality in WinXP. What makes it even more wrong is the obvious “search everything” (that is “All files and folders”) is right in the middle–you’ve actually got to slow down and read all the options to find it.
You’d think they’d have learned their lesson with “How should we index your help file” … I don’t freaking care, I just want HELP!!! Not like you’d find anything useful there anyway with suggestions like “is your computer plugged in?” YES, OTHERWISE I WOULDN’T BE READING THIS…!
